Finding a true friend is as difficult as finding true love

There is something about Tokyo Tower which has led me to personally go and see the place – twice (both of my visits to Japan before).

But I am not going to write about Tokyo Tower, but the story that made me view the place differently – at least from my perspective. One of my favourite songs is from the Japanese drama – OVERTIME. I remember watching it over and over, while I was picking up the language (self-learning)- without any subtitles, sometime about 10 years ago (estimate, since I cannot remember the exact time frame).

The story was very simple yet impacted me so much, even until now. It was all about discovering a true friend while searching for true love. Now that I am older, it is so easy to relate all the conflicts and drama shown from the story.

The theme song of the drama, by Yamaguchi Yuko (I Believe) describes almost about everything I think and feel about finding the right person; to be not only a true friend but also as a person who share the meaning of giving true love in a relationship.
